2019 has seen the culmination of a research and development program dedicated to robot cleaners. These innovations, tailored to the underwater cleaning of aquarium glass, have resulted from two patent applications with international extensions.
In 2018, we presented two research prototypes including a quad-head version with a platform and wired connection. These prototypes led to a very important development: our robot cleaners are now equipped with our famous self-cleaning and self-aspirating cleaning heads under containment, which are able to work in all types of tank, without risking the absorption of abrasive particles into the water, and without creating disturbing hydrodynamic turbulence within the tank.
A major development in the translation system now means these machines operate autonomously underwater: they no longer require a wired connection to the surface and technical area.
These machines can be controlled remotely from the exterior using an automated option. Our self-repositioning translation system operates using a tailored radio control system that simplifies and streamlines the route taken by the treatment heads on the wall. This makes it possible to reduce operation time and to ensure that the surface is fully treated from the water line to the bottom, even when this is sandy, and allows for access to all areas of the tank.
Its ultra flat shape allows it to slip between the wall and ornaments, even in tanks where these are in close proximity to the glass.
Several format options are available:
- Small ultra compact version: glass surfaces up to 5 m2 (robot adapted to delicate, small volume tanks)
- Standard version: glass surfaces up to 40 m2
- XL version: glass surfaces greater than 40 m2 (machine dedicated to giant glazing with high intervention speed)
These different robot formats can be adapted to suit specific pool configurations: tunnel, inclined windows.
